One of the world’s most prestigious horseracing events, the Saudi Cup, took place from February 23rd to 24th at the King Abdulaziz Racetrack, in Riyadh (KSA). As the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the event, Longines reaffirmed its long-lasting bond with elite horses and jockeys aiming to achieve the highest level of their discipline.
On Saturday, all eyes were focused on the foremost horses and jockeys at the Saudi Cup race, where Senor Buscador ridden by Junior Alvarado claimed a massive victory ahead of Ushba Tesoro riden by Yuga Kawada and Saudi Crown ridden by Florent Geroux. Brimming with confidence, these horse-and-rider combinations delighted the passionate crowd by demonstrating pure focus and boldness throughout the race.
Earlier that day, the Longines Red Sea Cup was set to be an exhilarating one with the stunning victory of Tower of London ridden by Ryan Moore. Enemy ridden by Richard Kingscote and Giavellotto ridden by Oisin Murphy, who finished second and third, were also in prime form to take up the challenge. To acknowledge excellence and elegance in this revered discipline, Longines rewarded the winner with an elegant timepiece presented by Patrick Aoun, Longines Regional Brand Manager for the Middle East and South East Asia.
On this special occasion, Longines was particularly proud to highlight the Official Watch of the event – a model from the Mini DolceVita collection. With its discreet profile, classic styling, and aesthetic variations that are at once timely and timeless, this masterpiece exquisitely expresses, in equal parts, Longines’ quiet luxury and contemporary elegance.
