HISTORY
ATAMIAN SAL was founded in 1927 by Barkev Atamian, who opened his first boutique in Riad El Solh, Downtown Beirut. What began as a small workshop specializing in the sale and repair of Swiss watches quickly earned a reputation for craftsmanship and excellence, becoming one of Beirut's most respected watchmaking destinations.
In 1956, Barkev's son, Hagop Atamian, who is now the company's President, joined the family business. Driven by his passion for horology, he traveled to La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, the heart of Swiss watchmaking, where he further developed his expertise in the art and science of watchmaking.
Inspired by his vision to expand the family business beyond watchmaking, Hagop Atamian began building partnerships with leading international watch brands. In 1980, ATAMIAN SAL reached a major milestone by becoming the official distributor of Longines, its first prestigious international brand.
Built on strong family values and a constant pursuit of excellence, the company continued to grow from one generation to the next.
In 1993, Mher Atamian, the company's current Managing Director, joined the business and embraced the challenge of expanding its presence in Lebanon. Through his leadership, vision, and passion, ATAMIAN SAL strengthened its position as one of the country's leading watch and jewelry retailers and distributors.
Today, through the combined efforts of three generations, ATAMIAN SAL continues to grow while remaining true to the values on which it was founded: trust, excellence, expertise, and long-lasting relationships. From a small workshop established in 1927, the company has evolved into one of Lebanon's leading names in the watch and jewelry industry.
